Feed-in of biomethane

The feed-in of biomethane (conditioned biogas) into the natural gas grid is advancing at an increasingly fast pace – in Germany as well as in other European countries. With about 40 projects at the edge of implementation, the German federal government has set out ambitious goals: by the year 2030, the annual feed-in of biomethane shall reach 10 billion m³. Biomethane shall be used in combined heat and power plants and as fuel for transport. The legal framework for the feed-in of biomethane has been set and ameliorated considerably in the last few years.

Nonetheless, the legal prerequisites for the biomethane feed-in still raise a lot of questions, mainly:

We provide extensive legal support to industrial, municipal and agricultural feed-in projects by

Because of our long-term co-operation in the feed-in working group of the German Biogas Association and our participation in dena`s biogas partnership we are constantly exchanging knowledge and experience with all relevant stakeholders in this sector.
